$40,000 raised for Charity at STA's Christmas lunch

At its 2006 Christmas Luncheon, the STA Group continued its tradition of mixing good seasonal fun with the more important opportunity to continue fundraising for its nominated charity partner, Children In Crisis. The function returned to its 2004 venue, The Drapers’ Hall in the City of London, where more than 250 clients and guests enjoyed the superb location, excellent food and wonderful entertainment.



In addition to the fun, the more serious fundraising also saw Children In Crisis represented by actress Rula Lenska (see picture), who dedicates much of her time to their causes, and Rula gave a heart-rending presentation of the causes that Children In Crisis have helped, and gave her own personal feedback on the projects she has visited.


Rula encouraged all those present to join her in supporting STAs fundraising, and as a result of a raffle and an auction, as well as money raised by STA staff and directors throughout 2006, we were delighted to present Claire Greenhalgh of Children In Crisis with a check for $40,000.

We would like to thank all those whose contributions will help to improve the education of the children of Afghanistan that this year’s fundraising is for.  Back to Spotlight
